There are many ways for our community to contribute to the work that we do at the centre. Below you will find some of the many ways in which you can support the work that we do.

Memberships:

Memberships are a great cost effective way to support the work that we do at the West Island LGBTQ2+ Centre. For $25 a year a membership comes with an automatic subscription to our quarterly newsletter, voting rights on resolutions put forward at our Annual General Meetings, as well as advanced invitations and favourable rates on some events hosted by the Centre. 
To become a member, you can fill out this form and either submit it by mail along with payment (cash or cheque) or send it electronically and e-transfer the funds to the Centre at [email protected].

Memberships run from January 1st to December 31st and need to be resubmitted each year. Membershipos are not eligble for charitable tax receipts, however additional donations are.

Financial Donations

Donation of Material Goods

The Centre is happy  to accept both financial donations and donations of material goods. Financial Donations are eligible for Charitable Tax Receipts.
Financial Donations are able to be submitted through the following mediums;

• ​Cash
• Cheque
• E-Transfer
• Money Order

Money Orders and Cheques can be made payable to West Island LGBTQ2+ Centre. 
​Financial Donations can also be made to specific programs or services offered by the Centre, if donating to a specific program, please include the name of the program in the notes section of cheques or money orders.

The Centre is always accepting donations of the following goods:

• Books (Especially current LGBTQ2+ literature)
• Movies (Espeically movies with strong LGBTQ2+ themes)
• Board Games
• Video Games
• Clothing 

In addition due to the heavy use that furniture at the Centre receives, we are often looking to replace heavily worn or damaged furniture

• Sofas, armchairs, chairs
• Bookshelves
• Dining Tables

We can only accept donations of new or gently used items.  
Material donations can be eligible for charitable tax receipts. If you would like a charitable tax receipt, please indicate this to the Centre representative who receives the donation.

For donation of new items, be sure to include original receipts for a charitable tax receipt.
