Every year, Montreal Pride is a great time for the West Island LGBTQ2+ Centre to showcase just who we are! In 2018, we were able to reach thousands of Montrealers and people from across Quebec and Canada!

2018 was a big year for us at Montreal Pride. We participated in Community Day and the Parade, our Seniors and Adults groups went out for dinner in the Gay Village, and later on a bunch of our staff went to watch the Drag Superstars show in Parc des Faubourgs.

Our involvement at Montreal Pride Week is a great opportunity for our youth, young adults, seniors, and staff to show their pride within the community.

We would like to thank Fierté Montréal for rewarding us with one of their coveted Community Grants, giving us 3000 postcards, t-shirts for our staff, a brand new banner, and a $500 voucher for VIA Rail!

We humbly and gratefully acknowledge that we are gathered on the unceded territory of the Kanien’kehà:Ka (Mohawk) people. This land has historically served as a meeting place for many Indigenous nations, including the Haudenosaunee and the Anishinaabe, and is currently home to Indigenous communities from across Turtle Island and the world.
