The West Island LGBTQ2+ Centre is looking for a detail oriented individual to add to our Board of Directors as our new Secretary.
This is a volunteer position with a time commitment of approximately 10 hours a month.

The role of the secretary comprises the following activities:
1. Fourteen days (2 weeks) before Board meeting email the Director and Treasurer reminding them of the need to have their reports to send to the Board members.
2. In consultation with the Chairperson to prepare and email the Agenda to the Board members about a week before the meeting. In addition add a copy of the minutes from the previous meeting.
3. Be present at the Board meetings to take the minutes and then email them to the Board Members following the meeting.
4. Attend to any correspondence assigned by the Board.
5. Prepare the AGM Annual Report and related documentation in consultation with the Director, arrange for copies of the Annual Report and have them available at the AGM. This involves setting a deadline for receiving reports. Reports are needed from the Chairperson, Director and Treasurer, and heads of committees.
6. Maintain an archival record of the Minutes, reports and correspondence.
